Services
We are dedicated to providing you with a concrete floor finish that appears and performs at its very best on your new or existing floor. Performance Concrete Polishing offers the following services.
- Mechanical Polishing of Existing Concrete Floors
Using state of the art equipment we can grind and finish your existing concrete floor to a smoother more uniform surface. Adding densifier/hardener we can eliminate dusting by producing a harder surface making your facility easier to clean and with a smoother surface. This will help with your ability to run your equipment, carts, and lifts over your floor and keep maintenance down. The final finish can be smoother concrete up to a high sheen light reflective finish for a brighter area. This can help reduce costs by lowering your lumination needs.
- Mechanical Polishing of New Concrete Floors
We like to be involved from design to finish. Polishing concrete is to simple of a term because each individual has his or her idea of what they expect it to look like. Polished concrete can be a denser surface with a high gloss sheen on new hard troweled concrete or it could be ground to expose larger aggregate and dyed with color to provide a very durable attractive terrazzo look. No matter what appearance is desired there are several steps necessary from design, specification, the concrete pour, and finial finish so get us involved early.
- Surface Preparations
We offer a complete package of surface preparations. We can remove old coatings, adhesives, and other foreign films and coatings from the concrete surface. We offer Concrete Milling, Scarifying, Grinding, Pressure Washing, Shot-Blasting, and in some cases Chemical preparation applications. Whatever your needs for preparing the concrete floor, we have a solution.
- Topical Polishing of Concrete Floors
Rather new or existing we can incorporate a topical polish to your concrete floor surface. These are cost effective ways to seal your floors, leave them easier to maintain, lower dusting, and have an attractive appearance.
- Hardeners for Concrete Floors
Hardeners and densifiers for new or existing concrete floors have been around for a while. These products penetrate into the concrete surface and react with the Portland cement in the concrete. This reaction creates a very dense surface that helps with abrasion, dusting, staining, and wear of your concrete floor. These products don’t necessarily change the appearance of the surface but can generate a sheen by burnishing or wear over time. A good economical way to prolong the condition of your floors by years.
- Sealers for Concrete Floors
Although there are a large variety of sealers for concrete on the market today the way you use your floor can narrow down the type of sealer you require. Sealers are a good way to protect your floor and generate a good appearance. Sealers do wear off the surface over time and use and may need to be reapplied from time to time. It is best to look at your floor during the cleaning process to assure the concrete is not “wetting out” if your concrete is obviously getting wet during cleaning you could be ready for another sealer coat. Letting this go unattended could result in staining, dusting, and other surface damage to your floor.
- Epoxy Coatings for Concrete Floors
Depending on the aesthetics and use of your floor an epoxy, urethane, or polyurea coating may be a great option for you. These coatings are available in a variety of thickness, colors, non-slip, smooth, metallic, and… Not only do these coatings have a wide range of appearances but they are designed to work with your uses. Floor protection from acids, UV, solvents, and other chemicals are why these coatings have an advantage over other flooring options.
- Chemical Stains for Concrete Floors
Concrete stains are here to stay. Stains are a very attractive flooring option and generally very competitive with other flooring surfaces. Incorporating multiple colors, acid based, water-based, and oil based stains in conjunction with a variety of sealers and top coats give you virtually unlimited options.
- Concrete Engraving
Using stains, coatings, sealers, and more importantly engraving tools we can provide you with a dynamic concrete floor. We often incorporate engraving with our polishing process to provide boarders and logo’s. We can turn ordinary concrete, new or old, into slate, tile, stone, and much more! Check out our photo gallery.
- Joint Sealants for Concrete Control and Expansion Joints
It is important to not overlook the nuts and bolts of a good performing floor. Concrete control and expansion joints are in place for a reason and must be maintained in order for your concrete slab to perform over the years. These are designed to move! Using a variety of different types of joint sealants we can intergrate these joints within our polishing or coating process.
